Topic: Start-up Assistance

Have you been wanting to officially register your business with the State of NJ but you are unsure how to begin or what steps you need to take? Then this two-part series is for you.

Part one, presented by Matt Uretsky and Rachel Moroknek from the law firm Brown Rudnick and delivered via Zoom, will address such commonly asked questions such as:

  1. What business structure should I choose for my business?
  2. How can I make sure that the name I have selected isn't already taken?
  3. What is a registered agent, and do I need one?
  4. What is a NAICS code and how do I know what NAICS code applies to my business?

Part two will take place on Monday, June 30 at 6:00 PM and be delivered IN PERSON in South Plainfield, NJ. During this hands-on lab setting, our instructor will guide you step by step through the State of NJ’s Business Registration Portal. Before attending part two, you will need to be sure that you have:

  1. Settled on the business structure for your business.
  2. Selected a name that is available.
  3. Selected a registered agent or chosen to act as your own.
  4. Determined your business address.
  5. Determined your business' NAICS code.

Upon emailing your responses to items 1-5 above, you will be sent the address of the in person workshop in South Plainfield. You will be required to bring your own laptop to this workshop.

Please Note: Zoom links are automatically sent with registration confirmation emails. Check your inbox/junk folders for an email from centeric@clients.wcecnj.org
