Starting a food business can be complicated, especially in New Jersey. Let us help!
In partnership with the Garden State Kitchen, this workshop will cover important topics for culinary entrepreneurs just getting started as bakers, caterers, makers of specialty foods items and more. We'll review the basics of writing a business plan, creating a food elevator pitch and securing a food handler's license.
In addition, we will review some of the regulations regarding the NJ Cottage Food Operators permits for home bakers.
We'll also join Stacy Basko, live in the Garden State Kitchen, for a virtual tour of the kitchen incubator space and hear unique strategies for launching a successful food business.
Workshop Highlights:
Registering your Business
Acquiring Insurance
Working in a Commercial Kitchen
